INCREDIBLE!!!!
#16

One of the better marketing moves by the band - get the CD into lots of hands, invite us into the Bathouse... it's kinda like Social Marketing.... and then the way they did it. BANG - That came off really well. - I was wondering if I had enough tix to the shows only 1 song in.

Did you hear Paul during Music At Work ???? That was sick - Gord wanted to get up and boogie,
Then Gord pulling off lethal vocals on Bob C while shooting Pool... come on... His vocals sound really good and Strombo blended in well thru out the shoot...

Hell...when I saw that camp fire I thought for sure we were getting some more stripped down stuff...

Even took my question in the pool room... I asked who the keyboardist was and if he'd be touring !!!

NWOntario Wrote:Just fantastic; the scene in the snooker room was easily my favourite part. btw, did anyone else's signal conk out before "Escape"? Ours did--I was at Eau Claire in Calgary--and while we only lost a couple minutes we were rewarded with a free pass. So, for $23: movie, CD, movie. Awesome!

No ours was fine for that part... but did anyone else get plugged into the bathhouse before the movie even started? we could hear the techies and what sounded like Gord talking before it even swung into the opening scene.

Oh and was it just our theatre (waterloo cineplex) or was the bass for thompson girl CRAZY over powering hahaha

overall a GREAT show

This didn't happen at Chinook.

........THAT was an AWESOME way to debut an album. Great interviews, if we didn't know before, We saw MA'v real name. (minor detail, but I noticed) Nice that they Billy Ray a few minutes of time as well.As he's almost an original member of the band.

Incredible doesn't even do that justice!

The new tunes sound far better live and The Boys put on an stellar performance, just so authentic. The entire production far exceeded my expectations. Although I would never need the reminder, Live and Intimate @ The Bathhouse reminded of how lucky we are as Canadians and fans to have a band like The Hip around. What a way to get you psyched for the tour. Was that acoustic kitchen set something or what... I need a copy of the video or at least the sound files.

Can't wait for the tour.

I really like the new material... and the tour of the Bathouse was something else.... I really enjoyed that acoustic set in the Kitchen.... Thompson Girl and Music at Work was Incredible....

If they break out Thompson Girl on tour (Artpark #1 or Rochester)........!!!! I love that song and have never heard/seen it live. I am crossing my fingers!

Any other Phantom Power stuff that hasn't been played live a ton would rock (big fan of Membership and Vapor Trails)....my favorite album. This new one is getting up there too!
