Hi folks, just wanted to introduce you to www.callupontheauthor.com. It's my new review site, to start with it's going to be local-centric here in Portsmouth, but I'm planning to expand out to more national and international releases in time.

Many thanks to Chris Kirkpatrick for putting all this together!

Great name.

Great name.

cheers man, had to go with a Nick Cave lyric, it was that or a Tom Waits one as I couldn;t find anything from The Hip that fit...

Great name.

Agreed. Definitely a cool name for a website. It stands out.

Out of curiosity, what Waits lyric were you going to use?

Additionally, the site's lovely!

Thanks Jenna, we really have Chris to thank for the site's look though.

To be totally honest, I'm not sure what Waits lyric I'd have gone for, I kept writing things down but nothing grabbed me (well, lots grabbed me, but none of it really relevant).

[MattyM]

hey folks, just thought I'd plug the site (again) as our very own Zenith has made a very cool banner that I think adds a little something!

The site looks great, Matt! So are you guys gonna be the first ones to review the new Hip album?

I think Matt will have the market cornered in the UK on Hip reviews...

[MattyM]

Well... unfortunately I doubt my Hip CD will appear for a week or two yet, so I'm sure I'll be beaten to it, but I'll certainly be posting a review, and I've messaged MAv to find out who handles UK publicity to try and blag an interview when they're next over here!

Maybe I could ask if we could film it...

[trevor]

Nice job Matty. Can't wait to see what you have in store for us!

Cheers Mate!
