The "dumbass" people thread
#16

This made some of us at work laugh the other day...

Seriously, I really worry for people sometimes.

Hey!
If it wasn't for those types of people, I would be out of a job!!

All those people who think that it is ok to cross the road without looking, bacause the cars will stop....
The people who are in pain and call about it, but haven't taken any medication 'because....'
Because what?? You might get better!!

And the highlight of last night was the girl that had drank far too much and taken too many ecstacy, then wondered why it had affected her so differently.... Obvioulsy all those illegal drugs are made to the same recipe!!

Thankfully she did better than the last one I had, he died... Does that qualify him for a Darwin award?

Still picking up the elderly from the floor, still dealing with the drunks, now wrestling seals and posting it on twitter.. @richardilderton
'Whoops' is not a word the patient wants to hear...apparently

So how are the Darwin Awards actually determined?

Nominees significantly improve the gene pool by eliminating themselves from the human race in an obviously stupid way. They are self-selected examples of the dangers inherent in a lack of common sense, and all human races, cultures, and socioeconomic groups are eligible to compete. Actual winners must meet the following criteria:

Reproduction
Out of the gene pool: dead or sterile.
Excellence
Astounding misapplication of judgment.
Self-Selection
Cause one's own demise.
Maturity
Capable of sound judgment.
Veracity
The event must be true.
