Charlottetown Date Change
#16

Well this certainly piss's me off. Suzanne and I are going to P.E.I. for 2 weeks. The last 2 weeks in August and it would have been great to catch a show there. It is going to be our first time east of Montreal.
Can anybody from out that way tell me if there are any music festivals going on the last 2 weeks in August. Just not country and western thanks.
Wesley.

No big events in August no. We've got Buckcherry on June 29th, Nickelback June 30th, The White Stripes July 11th, Aerosmith July 21st, and The Tragically Hip September 15th.

I would recommend The British Invasion at the Confederation Centre though, it's running all summer long.

What are the odds that The Hip are in town the same night as you - and you cannot attend the show. That stinks, sorry.

Yep it stinks but that's ok. I'll be seeing the boys in Fredericton (front row), Halifax (7th row) and C'town (front row). That's good enough for me and my wallet! Smile

A little off topic but, DAMN, Charlottetown is getting some shows! Matt Good will be at the Wave in October, C'MON will be at Hunter's in Sept or Oct (can't remember), Hip next weekend. Even Glass Tiger will be on PEI soon. haha.

I'd like to go see Colin James in Summerside, but i'm still undecided. I've only seen him the once, opening for Bryan Adams at the Moncton Coliseum in 2004, and he was great.

Myself and Darren plan on being in C'town, seperately, at 4 PM or thereabouts. My cell number is 902-877-4952, if there are plans to meet up beforehand. If I am there around 4 I will head straight to the Civic Centre to see if I can pop my head in for the soundcheck. I'll be wearing my In Violet Light t-shirt and have my camera bag. Three of us will be front row centre on the floor... oh, and if anyone has a 6 foot tripod for the vid camera that they wouldn't mind lending for the show, that would be great, as Darren forgot to pack his. Cheers, all, and see you in a few hours!
