I purchased my tickets with visa by phone the day of the presale. Then the rumours started about the show being cancelled. Sure enough, Harbour Station called me to let me know that the show was cancelled and that they would refund (credit) my visa for the 5 tickets I bought. However, the woman who called forgot a very important bit of information. That in order to get the refund I have to return the tickets to Harbour Station.
How I found out was my visa statement had no sign of refund, so I called visa to confirm. Still no refund. So I called Harbour Station and the ticket agent said I have to mail back the tickets to them before they issue a refund. I got a little pissy on the phone that they should provide the proper information to their customers and it's a bloody good thing I didn't toss the tickets away after getting the voicemail from them stating I would be getting the refund.
Hopefully others didn't throw their tickets away.

that sucks highlander. i hope no one gets screwed on this.
i am still waiting for MAv to tell us why it was canceled.

Although I thought it was early to cancel (especially if the reason is/was ticket sales), having a concert in Fredericton and Saint John is not the way to market and play the maritimes.
Also, its not that Saint John doesn't have a lot of people who don't wanna see The Hip... I think it's that Saint John has a lot of people who don't want to pay that kind of cash to see The Hip.
In Toronto and surrounding areas, if you don't want to pay, there will be someone else who can.
I don't think that's quite the same here.
I could be wrong though.

MAv is just the messenger. Sonic Entertainment Group are the ones who cancelled the show... and judging by the lack of communication between them/venue/ticket holders, I wouldn't be surprised if they were less than forthcoming with info about why THEY cancelled the show.

you are right. tickets are very expensive. $80 for gold circle? that is way too much
