Cool New Personalized Streaming Radio Station

Pretty cool - and it is free.
Put it an artist you like - and it starts playing a song by that artist.
Then it plays other artists it thinks you may like.
And you can persoanlize it.
Get rid of "this" crappy song
Don't play "this" song for a month I am tired of it....Etc
I think it goes back to your artist every 5th song.

Way ahead of you...hopefully more people will like it than when I proposed the idea (lol)! It is great for work, and has introduced me to some bands I would never had heard.

Cha - right.
You only posted it 4 little months ago. :thumb:
Damn search button - why does it hate me so much?
(please note the above referenced material is all sarcasm, as on this new internet thingy, sarcasm is sometimes hard to distinguish)

Here's a new competitor to Pandora, called Slacker:

<!-- m --><a class="postlink" href="http://www.slacker.com">http://www.slacker.com</a><!-- m -->

They are a little more ambitious than Pandora.

The basic music service is very similar to Pandora. It’s a web based music player that customizes stations based on whether you like or dislike specific tracks. Like Pandora, you can’t play specific tracks on request, but you can certainly listen to a certain genre of music. Slacker is also trying to connect related songs, and in my limited testing it does a good job, although not as well as Pandora. This basic service is free and ad-supported (visual ads on screen only).

Although Slacker is only launching its web based music player today, they have PC based, iTunes-like software coming that will organize the music on your computer as well as play the same radio stations as the web based version. If you pay a $7.50/month fee, all “favorited” songs that you hear on the radio stations will be saved to your computer, and the ads will be removed from the service.

More info.
