Iron Maiden last night

Anyone else go?
What a joke...play the whole freaking new album (I think in order, too) then throw like three familiar bones to the thousands who paid $55 to $100 to see it. I'm all for believing in your new shit, sure, but the album's almost 80 minutes long (I don't like it, but that's not even the point). To have your set list 95 per cent new album is CRAP. Especially when you've got a catalogue like theirs.

I can see how that would suck...

Weren't they doing a round of concerts recently wherer they were just going to play songs off the first 3 albums, then do the next tour with the 4th to 6th album?

Or was that just another of my freaked out metal dreams??

D

Still picking up the elderly from the floor, still dealing with the drunks, now wrestling seals and posting it on twitter.. @richardilderton
'Whoops' is not a word the patient wants to hear...apparently

Yeah, last year's show was something like the first four albums. I think I heard they may be doing a "next four" tour too.

There's a recent clip on youtube where Bruce grabs a sign from a fan that reads "Play classics" and rips it to pieces on stage. Pretty classy.

I talked to my sister today, and she flew from Saskatoon to Toronto last week to see them and she said the same thing as you. She was real disappointed to only hear a couple of old tunes.
