Trailer Park Boys movie
#1

anyone see it yet? i went last night, it was grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrreat. pretty much what i expected, pretty much the same thing as the tv show, but there's no camera crew following them around or anything like that...all the characters are there for the most part (no Sam, Cyrus, Terry or Dennis though)...one thing that disappointed me is that J-Roc doesn't really say anything funny (or anything at all really...he raps a bit, but no memorable lines)...the music is great, there's some hip, rush, tea party, wintersleep, april wine...

when they're at the movie theatre in the movie, all the movies are hip/rush song titles...i won't say anymore, but pay attention for that (although it's pretty hard to miss)...also, there's a poster for FUBAR and ... fuck, i foget, but it's another Canadian movie...

the past 12 months have been great for Canadian film...first the Rocket, then Bon Cop Bad Cop, and now this...fuckineh :thumb: !

everybody go see TPB the movie! at least once! i'm goin to see it again on cheap night for sure!

What a great movie. It was a really long TPB episode that was basically set to my CD collection. We all got posters and Conky finger puppets, and afterwards we got free sausages from some fundraiser going on downstairs. Also, someone someone tried to cheat an arcade games in theatre lobby identical to the "big dirty" target as we were coming out, and they set off the security alarms.

I saw it Saturday night. It was a good movie, all I expected. Gordie and Alex did a nice job...I would have liked to see them again in the trailer park every time the cops were called, but I guess we can't be greedy.

I give it 5 dark canucks out of 5.

Was there also a poster for "Jaws"?

I can't remember if I actually saw that or just thought it would be funny if they'd put it in there with "The Dark Canuck".

Just saw the movie. It was awesome.

And being a Maritimer living out west I recognized the Vogue Optical commercial. Do they still use that. (They were using that 8 years ago)

Of course I had to see it. Knowing Bubbles (Mike Smith) from his Sandbox days and my brother being one of the police officers on the show (regular) He is the one that points the gun after they hit the police car. He also throws Ricky over the car after Gord talks to them.

If you haven't seen it. I would really recommend it.
