Do you think the band "tells stories" with their set list??
Do you put a lot of stock into setlists?

Like any good story, their setlists have rises and falls. The encore is like a denouement, you know its over, but theres just a little more plot left. I'd say most concerts have roughly the same arc, but when it comes to the hip, its seems much more thought out and deliberate. I'd definitely say they take you on a journey with the setlist.

Your thoughts on the Hip's setlists are poignant, but something about way you express them, especially the "take you on a journey" part...I dunno...it kinda sounds a little dreamy or trippy, as if your interpretation might have a little "outside influence" (*wink, wink*). I was jokingly making a reference to that other topic to which you replied yesterday, but I suppose it was a rather cryptic stab at comedy.

I was wondering because, I dont know alot about Canadian politics, or social situations up there..and was thinking if they ever take jabs at stuff that happens.
My other favorite band does in a big way. They just fired their lead guitarists, and the situation wasn't pretty..the set lists have been really reflecting on that.
