I found these links from blabbermouth.net for a new song played live in Berlin. Although I loved St. Anger, this is a riff happy/double bass happy untitled song which brings you back to MOP and RTL days! Friggin' sweet. Metallica found metal again!

I have been listening to this song quite frequently for the past couple of days. Lars really has the double-bass kickin' and the riffs sound like a good mix of the faster heavy stuff of the early days and the groove heavy stuff from the Load era, and it's good to hear The Ripper doing his thing again with a cool solo. The recording has a little too much bass, so it doesn't sound great cranked on my stereo at home... but it does sound good for a bootleg. I'm hoping that this one shows up on the livemetallica.com release of the show.

I'm really looking forward to see what Rob brings to the table as far as the songwriting goes.

Have you heard them do Orion from this tour? Man, Trujillo is an amazing bass player. He nails all of Cliff's parts perfectly.

new album will still suck, and this new song is ok, but not great, about what i expected, metallica should just stop making new music...it only detracts from their previous accomplishments at this point.

I listen to it a couple of times. I starts off good. Musicaly it's better but James is AWFUL singing it. Holy crap he ruins whatever the song is gonna be. He's still trying to sing like St. Anger. What a turn off. Plus I think he found GOD. Listen to the lyrics again............

No kidding Jay. I don't know if Metallica would be around much longer if it wasn't for Rob. Have you ever seen or listened to any Suicidal Tendencies when he was in that band, shit, that guy is damn good. Not sure about his writing skills (or if the 'tallica camp will allow it), but his stage presence and his playing ability are second to none.

Ahhh, I miss the days of good ole ST when Mike, Rocky and Rob all made beautiful music together. Now the band just sucks. Just crap I say.

No kidding Jay. I don't know if Metallica would be around much longer if it wasn't for Rob. I saw Suicidal open up for Metallica on the Summer Shit tour in 94. I knew some of their stuff at the time, but not a whole lot. The thing I always remembered about ST live was their awesome bass player. Then when I saw Ozzy live, the thing that stuck out the most was this amazing bass player. When I heard that Rob was the new bass player for Metallica I was bouncing off the walls.

I really hope Rob gets to show what he's got with the new stuff. I think he has had a lot to do with them breaking out some of the older and faster stuff that they never used to play live.
