I know it sounds odd, but it's also a little intriguing.

The whole story is new to me but Kingstonians may recall a reading contest some years ago where the first prize was a bicycle donated by The Hip. A six year old boy read 25 books and raised $339 in pledges in support of various literacy programs.

He's long-since outgrown the bike and has been trying to sell it for awhile. Last year he talked to Rob and arranged to have the rear "disc" signed by the band.

I'm not sure why he contacted me...maybe he contacted others that have memorabilia on Hipfans.com...but he's interested in selling the autographed bike at a negotiable price. I'd make him an offer, but I have no place to keep it. It's a pretty cool piece of Hipstory, especially for Kingstonians.

He asked me to pass it along to anyone here who may be interested so here it is.

PM me if you want his contact info.
