I love it when people begin their comments with "No offense..."
When in all honesty, why make a sarcastic comment if not to offend?
Actually, I don't take offense, because I had never seen it and thought it amusing. My deepest apologies to those who wasted a few minutes of their valuable lives in this topic...Go about your business...nothing to see here.

I love that list. It's a great source of cryptic sig lines, and when I write spoof spy thrillers to amuse myself and a couple of friends, it reminds me of all the cliches I haven't yet touched on. (And, when I write genuine crime fiction with hopes of getting published, I use it to remind myself that other writers have had great ideas before me--sometimes the same one, over and over and over...)
Maybe I'm just easily amused. And apparently not afraid of scrolling. Years of dealing with PubMed search results will do that to you.
These three are candidates for sig lines (particularly the last two):
# I will not use any plan in which the final step is horribly complicated, e.g. "Align the 12 Stones of Power on the sacred altar then activate the medallion at the moment of total eclipse." Instead it will be more along the lines of "Push the button."
# I will make sure that my doomsday device is up to code and properly grounded.
# My vats of hazardous chemicals will be covered when not in use. Also, I will not construct walkways above them.
