No real surprises here, just wish Forsberg would have been healthy the entire season, he would have been an MVP candidate and First Team All Star for sure. He only played half the games and still led the league in points per game. The guy is unreal, just hope he doesn't go play in Sweden next year if the NHL resumes. A player of his caliber would be greatly missed, but the league will go on and new stars will arise. Wish Gretzky could have played forever too!

2 things that kinda pissed me off about last night
though i think everyone who was nominated deserved to be there, but i have 2 rhetorical type questions:

1) If tampa was eliminated in the 1st round, do you think they would have one so many awards?? maybe i'm just bitter

2) how can McCabe get on the 2nd All star team and still not be on Canada's world cup team?? (i know its the writers that vote, but still)

other than that, i love it......i never knew mclean could be so funny

He had an incredible season, but he didn't play enough games. Turek played more games than Kipper.

i think the voting is done at the conclusion of the reg season before the playoffs...soo i think tampa woulda cleaned up regardless of the cup win
