You have to admit it was quite the atmosphere though, a night that you won't forget (not for the band though, unfortunately)!

Likely the oddest place they ever played, at least where they were at that time in their career. I drive by there about once per year, and still marvel that they played a show in that building. It's now empty, or a warehouse, but for a time there was a promoter trying to run shows bring in some bigger name acts.

One of my favourites was 2012-06-30 - Niagara-on-the-Lake. Probably the largest Hip show I've ever been to (*except when they opened for The Stones in Moncton).

Great memories from that show! Zero shuttles leaving the site was such a shit-show. We were trying to get cabs back to our campground. After an hour of trying, we started the 7km walk back. We were so worthless on that walk after baking and drinking in the sun all day. Some kind locals drove down the road picking people up and drove everyone to where they need to be, as they heard on the radio that hundreds of people were stranded due to the poor shuttle organization.

All that aside, it was one of the very first (if not the only time) I heard a Hip song for the very first time in front of me (Goodnight Attawapiskat).

I saw lots of tapers there, but have never seen a recording surface ... if you got this, I'd love to hear it someday!

That was a great day. The Rural Alberta Advantage and Death Cab for Cutie put on great shows too.

Walking into that first bar area and seeing the ladies passing out as many packs of smokes as anyone would carry was a sight to be seen... leaving after the show and trying to find a cab to head back to cornwall was a trip as well!
