For all you Wilco fans, they just released a new album for free on their website. I'm downloading it right now, so I haven't had a chance to listen yet. Review to come shortly.
Oh, and apparently the title has nothing to do with the movies. I think they just thought it would be a funny way to get everyone's attention.

This is nothing short of amazing.
It reallt seems like they wanted to get back to the roots of Wilco, which surprises me, as I've found their sound in the past has progressed with each album.
They're throwing it back to AM / Being There with this (with a little tint of Mermaid Avenue).

I agree, it's definitely a bit of a throwback to their first 3 albums. I'm really diggin' it.

I'm going to TURF. I'm hoping they stick to playing Star Wars then a handful of older songs. Pretty sure that's been the formula even at festival shows. TURF is a great festival for anyone thinking of going. TWEEDY played last year and were great.

CityFolk was amazing.
Got right where you want to be... up front at the apex of Jeff and Nels.
Seeing Nels play was so phenomenal.
You Satellite was one of the single best songs I've ever seen performed by any band.
Then there were the classics...
Handshake Drugs; Art of Almost; Impossible Germany.... oh Lord take me back.

Finally picked this album up last night. As usual, these guys don't disappoint. It's a complete 180 from Star Wars and it's probably the folkiest album they've ever made. Most of the songs are acoustic based, and you could say it almost sounds more like a Tweedy solo album. It takes a couple of good spins to pick out the contributions from his band mates, but they're definitely there. I'm really enjoying it so far. Great album! :music

Jeff Tweedy defends his band's album titles on Colbert. Can't wait to hear "Meet the Beatles By Wilco".
