Just purchased the CD/mp3 package last night from the Victimless Capitalism website. Another stellar effort from Mr. Hawkins. Seriously, everything this guy puts out is pure gold. It kills me that he never seems to get the recognition he so richly deserves. Such an outstanding songwriter with a wonderful gift for melody. Not to mention his brilliant lyrics. In terms of great Canadian storytellers, he's easily right up there with the likes of Cohen, Young, Downie, and John K. Samson. All of you need to do yourselves a favor and support this guy. Couldn't agree more! This album (like his entire catalogue - Lowest of the Low/Rusty Nails/solo/Do Good Assassins) is so
rich and diverse and so fucking good. Not to mention one of the best voices around. Easily in the company of the greats...
This new double album should be in everyone's collection. The title track alone is a masterpiece.
