Q107 and Black Day in July

I want to thank everybody for their great support at The Bear in
Ottawa. Q107 has decided NOT to play 'Black Day In July'.....any e-mails or phone calls to Q107 would be appreciated..

from my understanding, they just didn't like the track...

It is a classic rock station. I'm not sure that a track cut this year could necessarily be considered "classic" already, despite the fact that it totally kicks ass!

I do live out of the mighty Q's listening area, so I actually don't know exactly how much they limit their music strictly to classic rock. Oh well, I'll send an email request to them, just as penance for wasting the time of anyone who reads this!

Nono they are a station that plays Classic Rock and New material from Classic Rock albums...they play the Hip all the time...It doesnt make any sence not to play Black Day in July...IMO its a fantastic song.

that's exactly right. eg. "q plays new rock from classic artists, here's the darkest one from the hip's new album ivl". same type of thing. they're playing alice cooper, bob seger, and bowie's new one, we should e-mail them again, they're program director just left, so why not try again!
