I was just wondering if anyone could explain the discrepancy between the setlists posted here and the ones on thehip.com.
Just as an example thehip.com has the following shows listed having played Unplucked Gems on this tour
10/28/2009 Belly Up Tavern
10/19/2009 9:30 Club
10/16/2009 Byham Theater
06/13/2009 The Fillmore
06/02/2009 Artpark
however I'm pretty sure that it was only played at the last 3 shows (16,19,28Oct)
is thehip.com based strictly off of printed setlists?
Of course it also has Reformed Baptist Blues listed as the first song played at Centennial Concert Hall: Winnipeg, MB: Canada: 09/10/2009
1: Reformed Bapist Blues
2: New Orleans Is Sinking
3: The Drop-Off ....
and I highly doubt they pulled that out after not playing it for 18 years and no one really blinked.

It seems odd that the official site is inaccurate

Regarding Gems on the setlists.
For the early shows it should be Recluse.
I believe that an "auto-fill" must be used when filling in the setlists. So when they start typing "The Last" into the database Gems pops up because it comes before Recluse. Just human error.

I have a few errors on my shows too. The Baltimore show this month encored with Fully Completely and not Grace Too. I also have an old summer fling show where the band opened with Nashville (it was DWD) and also that they played Meanstreak (it was M@W).

Other than though it is pretty accurate for shows I've been to. Either way, I get all my setlists here.

I've noticed a few errors on thehip.com. They are missing a show in Red Deer in January 07, and the first show I saw, Nov. 28 1996, the site says they played Escape at Hand, but they actually play everytime you go.

They played Everytime You Go and they played Escape - which was known as Stereo back then:

Where did you get that set list? That's awesome; I seem to remember them playing Blow as well; I recall thinking how awesome it was that they played 4 tunes from UTH that night...I really need a bootleg of that show. I have no recollection of Escape at Hand being played (maybe because it wasn't released then, but I'm sure I would have recognized a song I never heard before).

And they did play Blow that night. Back then, the encores listed on the setlist meant very little.
For example, this night they:

Had listed: Wheat, Fire, Nautical and Engaged
Played: Scared, 100th, Thugs, Coconut Cream and Blow

There have always been discrepancies - it's an imperfect world. What can I say. It's an ongoing battle. No, they did not open a show with Reformed Baptist Blues and I will fix it.

Would you (that's a collective you) like me to give fans, or a group of fans, the ability to maintain the set list archive.

Hey MAv - not meant as a criticism by any means - i've been doing the stats for the shows on the tour and noticed a few differences - I've gone with the hipbase set lists when there is a difference, though, as I figure they are probably correct.
I'll tell you though, it would be convenient if there were a master list of songs accessible from the site that you could click and get a listing of all times played. I know you can do it via album tracks but I'm not sure how to access a song like Reformed Baptist Blues to see when it was played - other than finding it in a setlist and then selecting it. I could be missing something though.

None taken. I prefer building tools that inputting data, truth be told. I'll work on getting some better tools for everybody, including a way to make the data better. Getting a list of songs and where they were played I will do this week.
