Anybody ever bought tickets from this website before? Its seems pretty legit its a pretty comprehensive site, I just dont want to get raped too hard. Ouch! But Im trying to get tickets for the Red Sox-Yankees games (at Fenway) in September and I cant see any other way, maybe eBay but I havent looked yet..any advice?
Or would I have better luck with scalpers? I just dont want to go all the way to Boston to get screwed over.

My friend has used StubHub several times - and she loved it - even though it is super expensive.
But, one time she got her tickets and did not check them until the day of the event - and they were for the day prior.
She was screwed - no refund, no nothing.

I wish I was loaded, Id pay the $1900 to sit on the monster. There's some not too awful seats in the $200-400 range, that might be do-able, I should just make my buddy that Im going with pay, he's a big shot in NY, maybe I can convince him to shell out for those behind the dug-out seats, he can afford it the jerk.

I used it for the first time recently to buy tickets to a Yankees home game (vs the Royals in June!). I was really impressed with the way StubHub kept me updated on the tickets' progress (I bought them before the ticket-holder even had them in hand). They showed up exactly when they said they would, and were for the seats/game I bought. Other then fixing it so the Royals can win the game, they've done everything I would hope for.

I use StubHub all the time. It's the only reasonable ticket brokering site out there. I often find great deals as well. Plus, they guarantee you the tickets are real... so no worries.

From all I've heard, it sounds like StubHub is as legit as brokering can be.
But I've never used it because every time I've considered it, I've always, always, always found comparable tickets on Ebay, and paid far less than I would've on SH.

Unfortunately I couldnt get flight times to NY to be able to make the game(s), so I did the next best thing and bought back to back games Boston vs. Toronto at the Dome in August, cant wait!!
I do like this stubhub Im sure Ill make use of it at some point, I guess my Fenway dream will have to wait till next year.

In my experience I've found that purchasing from scalpers the day of the event is almost always cheaper than buying in advance from Stubhub, ebay, etc. Of course, you are taking your chances that tickets may not be available and/or that you may have underestimated the market, so if you want to guarantee yourself a seat then Stubhub is the way to go.

As an alternative, you can check Ticketsnow.com. I have used them for concerts and found them to be reliable. The premium on tickets is significant, so I do not know if it will save you money. The games you are choosing will be at a premium. My wife and I were in Boston last September when the Yankees were in town. Tickets were virtually impossible to get. The concierge at our hotel, the Lennox, could not get tickets at any price. He had friends who sold a pair for a price that he said would let them rent a place at Martha's Vineyard this summer for a week! So, if the Yankees ever recover and get in the race, I would not count on scalpers. Even if the Yankees continue as I expect this year, I think that buying Yankees-Red Sox tickets in Boston is like trying to get Leaf-Habs tickets in Toronto or Montreal. Good luck, I would buy early based on what we saw last year.

Why is it legal to sell tickets on stubhub but illegal to sell tickets outside of the venue? You're scalping either way, aren't ya? I'm just wondering, since I have never gone on a site like stubhub before to buy tickets.

I used StubHub t'buy tickets for the NYC Hip gigs last April...I paid an extra $30 in total, which I didn't think was too bad considering it was a week before the gig.
Anyway, good stuff.
