You know, that technology that adjusts a singer's voice so that it's always 'on pitch.' I ask because the new vocals sound pretty pitch-perfect compared to the more wobbly, whacked-out stuff on IBE. Green Day uses it and so does a pile of other bands, so they'd be in good company - but that technology still makes me wanna puke.

I don't actually know enough to tell by listening, but it did cross my mind. There are a few moments where gord's voice seems to resonate. Is that a symptom of pitch control?

I don't think much technical "trickery" was used on Gords voice. I believe Rock probably suggested more takes and different ideas for the melody line. I'll bet money that many times during the sessions Rock convinced Gord to "try another take and maybe do it like this"...etc.
There is some double tracking of Gords vocals in places but nothing that I would say actually changed the "pitch" of his vocal performances....
I'd bet Bob Rock really challenged the boys...in a good way. Some of us Hipfans tolerate and even enjoy when a vocal or guitar is a bit out of tune, it kind of makes the recordings more realistic and spontaneous. However a guy like Bob Rock I suspect, won't tolerate it.
There are a few tunes on IBE that I wish Rock would have had input...ie.."Are We Family". I always wished the guitars were not a tad bit out of tune. A beautiful song...

With Bob Rock producing, I'd say there's no question that pitch correction was used.

They obviously didn't use any pitch correction on The Kids Don't Get It. That's a pretty intense vocal performance from Gord, and he definitely veers off key a couple of times.
