Anyone know going to this fest?
I am considering but have a couple questions
How long will the hip be playing?
Since this is a telivised event do you think the hip will just play their new Album?
Any other bands worth checking out, I know G love, matisyahu and string cheese will be there, anyone know of any gems playing
Thanks and Cheers

All I have heard about this Festival is that there is a ton of good music but really large crowds and it gets really hot.
As far as other bands - Petty is always fun, Flaming Lips put on a spectical of a show, Raconteurs are pretty sweet. Shins are good times as well.
My 2 cents

I saw the Shins at the Sasquatch Festival, and as much as I like their albums, I thought they were terrible live. They had the misfortune of having to go on after the Hip, and that's a tough act for anybody to follow. Maybe they were just having an off night.

Just looked at the schedule, and saw Van Morrison is performing.
A true musical genius, he'd be worth the price of admission alone. He's one of my top 5 faves of all time.
Dream concert, the Hip and Van Morrison. Wish I could be there.
