Although I am in the process of purchasing a t-shirt (I'll mail the cheque this weekend Lance) I find the whole notion of a "special" area for shirt buyers silly.

I dunno, it leaves a bad taste in my mouth for lack of any better explanation.

i think it's just the point of the matter though...the fact that some are allowed in and some aren't just doesn't seem very community oriented

you may be right, but I really don't see it that way. Hipbase.com is a wonderful community. I just hope something as small as this doesn't hinder the sheer amazingness of this site.

When Lance first thought of the idea of a charter member one of the things he wanted to incorporate a private forum.

"You will see some image tags connected to some people's user profiles.

Basically a Charter Member in my books is anyone that has supported the Hipbase by buying a t-shirt. I have all the records of people that have bought the second hipbase shirt. If you do not see your tag in a few days please send me a message. Unfortunately I do not have any records of the first round of shirts. If you did purchase a first round shirt and didn't buy a second round shirt and still want a tag please send a picture of you in your hipbase shirt. Membership will be closed when I run out of shirt.

Charter Member Benefits include:

The charter member forum has been up and running for over a week now. We just wanted everyone to know that it was available now, and give everyone an opportunity to be a part of it.

It was never meant to be a negative thing for Hipbase and ALLLL its users. We really appreciate all of you here, we couldn’t ask for a better bunch of people.
