I've been trying to figure out what the great Bill Barilko's jersey number? I cant seem to find it and anyone I ask has no clue either.

Bill Barilko wore number 5. It's one of only two numbers that the Maple Leafs have permanently retired.
Retired Numbers
5- Bill Barilko 1946-1951
6- Irvine "Ace" Bailey 1927-1934
All of the other numbers that hang from the rafters of the ACC are "Honoured" meaning that current and future players can still wear them. No Maple Leaf will ever wear number 5 or 6 again.

I never knew that the ONLY two guys that have their numbers retired by The Leafs are both honored by Downie in his songs.

Before Gord's first solo album came out, the music websites had the tracks listed for the CD - and they had Ace Bailey as its own separate track. Then when I got my CD - it did not have that track listed - rather it was just at the end of SteepleChase.
I noticed there are three different "versions" of Coke Machine Glow (at least three different covers)
Mine came with the book - just the "glowing" cover in a cardboard sleeve with the same "glow" on the CD.
In the states here I believe the other versions each came in jewel cases - One had Gord's face or something on the cover of the CD and the other had the "glow" again.
Anyway.....Is Ace Bailey listed different on either of these other versions?

I think Bailey and Barilko's numbers were retired during the 1992/93 season - the year Pat Burns took the Leafs to the Campbell Conference final vs. Wayne Gretzky and the Kings.

Well - my memory is toast I guess.
Steeplechase is listed on mine - no Ace Bailey listed though. (yes BOTN)
There were three different versions of CMG cases/covers though - at least my memory thinks so.

different "Ace" Baileys...the one in Steeplechase refers to the "Ace" that was killed on September 11th - he was a player and then a scout I think for L.A. at the time of his death. The Leafs' "Ace" played in the 1920's and 30's
