So what does everyone expect our forward lines to look like? I'm guessing something along the lines of...
Gagne-Sakic-Iginla
Richards-Lecavalier-StLouis
Heatley-Thornton-Nash
Smyth-Draper-Bertuzzi/Doan
The Tampa Bay trio makes sense for obvious reasons and is a logical pairing. The Joe Sakic line has worked well in the past, so why change it up, at least to start the tournament. And Joe Thornton and Rick Nash were linemates last season in Switzerland and have great chemistry together, as they showed on an international level last year at the World Championships. And adding Heatley at LW would form a very dangerous line & would be very hard to defend against. Kris Draper will be centering the 4th line, and that leaves some combination of Ryan Smyth, Todd Bertuzzi and Shane Doan to make up his wingers.
