What ever happened to this NHL'er?

I hope there's no Kingston connection with the Hip. Rob Brown was a big coward. I have a tape of him fighting with his visor on and claiming victory. He got some goals but wasn't that great of a player. He's a puss just like Matt Cooke and the Sedins. And I'm a Canucks fan!!haha!! For now anyway. If they don't get at least one guy other than Brad May who can actually play a little rough hockey, I'm through. This new NHL really worries me. I'd rather see hard hitting hockey than shinny, like other pansy fans seem to like. I'd rather see fights and hits than 10-9 games and shootouts.

Couldn't agree with you more. I'd rather see a 2-1 game with some nice saves, some nice checks, and maybe a scrap than some stupid 8-6 goalfest. But apparently I'm in the minority.

And take it easy on the Sedins! They aren't there to play physical. Matt Cooke is a wanker though. He plays chippy, but never drops the gloves when he gets called out.

Couldn't agree with you more. I'd rather see a 2-1 game with some nice saves, some nice checks, and maybe a scrap than some stupid 8-6 goalfest. But apparently I'm in the minority.

To me it's about flow and speed in the game. If that's there then I think you'll still see the big hits and physical play. And goalies are still much better than in the past, even with the smaller pads. So if all that is there and everyone is playing well, then maybe the score is only 2-1 or 3-2... and that would be perfectly OK with me.

A lot of time, high scoring games are indicative of sloppy play, which is usually not entertaining.

If the rule changes result in well-played, skillful yet physical games with maybe just a little bit more scoring, then I'll be one happy hockey-watching couch potato! :thumb:

That's the thing that PAINS me when people refuse to acknowledge Sundin as an elite player. Can you believe the garbage wingers he's had in recent years? HOGLUND? An 82 year old Steve Thomas? A 73 year old Gary Roberts? All Whine No Hands Tucker? The only real player Mats has had on his wings in recent years is Mogilny, and that's only sometimes. Then Mats goes off and plays for Sweden in an international tourney with real wingers (like Alfredson), plays awesome, and people say: "See, international hockey is more important to him than the NHL". cratch: cratch: cratch:

I think Thomas is only 69 but I know what you're saying. Speaking of Roberts, Vancouver could use him in the lineup to add some toughness and physical hockey which is almost non-existant on the current Nucks team. ...Assuming he is healthy of course. .... '

The thing with the Sedins is that they don't score much. It's fine if they aren't there to play physical and are counted on to get points, but they don't do either. If one of the brothers actually cracked 30 goals it would be a miracle.

My biggest worry is the penalty calling. In the last NHL season played, penalties were out of control. I don't like watching a team get 10 pp's a game. Powerplays ruin the flow of hockey more than hooking and holding if you ask me.

Domi couldn't pot 20 if he had 20 breakaways with the goalie pulled. He's a washed up bum and has been for quite some time now. A fighter who doesn't fight and has virtually no use in the playoffs. I hear demand is high for guys like that.

I really hope the Leafs tell him to take his schtick elsewhere.

Hey, I'm a Leaf fan, but even that statement has me saying, "Huh???" cratch:

While I'm not quite sure I'd go quite as far as echo cfern's statement (even though it IS funny as hell), I do think Tie's best days, such as they were, are behind him. The Leafs should see if they can find another sucker... oops, I mean team... to take him on, or if not then just cut him loose.
