So today is the day!

Sure, It may be a little childish, but those of us who have been reading the Harry Potter books are very excited about the release of book 6. If you haven't read them, I urge you too. I once thought them silly childrens books, but in fact they are quite rivetting and complelling works. So, who else here is looking forward to a good read?

I picked up my copy today and read it straight through...very compelling read. Lots of heartbreak, tons of suspense and a great deal of insight into the characters. Won't give away the ending but I must say there are quite a number of twists and turns throughout the story that makes me wish Book 7 was here already!

Man, that is quite an acomplishment. I'm going to savor it, so don't spoil the ending. Was hoping it was in the mail today, but it wasn't- hope it comes in the mail on monday.

I've been reading it since I got home from work today. So far, it's awesome. I think I might pass on sleep tonight since it's so damn good.

I used to think they were stupid too up until a few years ago. I had to read the first two for my children's lit class and then promptly borrowed my little cousin's other three and locked myself up for a week. Really they're the most compelling books I think I've ever read.

Anyway... back to reading. :thumb:

I actually didn't get into the books until my mom dragged me to see Chamber of Secrets in the movie theater. When I emerged 2 hours later raving about how good the storyline was, my mom commented that I wouldnt be able to put the books down because they were much better than the movie. She was right, I spent a good portion of my vacation with my folks reading all three books that had been released at that point and I think mom was a little ticked off about that! :lol:

It's a good thing my girlfriend's parents were in town this weekend and taking up a good portion of her time, otherwise I might be in trouble for spending 5 hours reading the newest masterpiece :lol: :thumb:

Love the books hammered through 200 pages before my eyes started to close last night. Amazing once again.

Killer book. Little bit less uplifting than the others, though.

REPORT---I'm about halfway through and it has been a good read thus far. Not too thrilled with the love life at Hogwarts, but I guess that was put in to get the tennies swooning. So far it's not as good as Pheonix or Goblet, but I'm hoping for a good climax.

The hard part for me is avoiding the spolier websites...I'm a sucker for turning to the last page..but I'm try hard not too. Obviously the big question is Valdemort the Half Blood Prince??? Don't answer that!
