listened to their first disc last night for the first time in years..i forgot how great of an album it is..bob dylan actually having fun!!! last night, handle with care, end of the line and of course tweeter and the monkey man (the original still the best)..great cd to have a few beers to, and sing along!!!

I freakin' LOVE that album. Apparently it's been out of print for years, something to do with legal issues and Roy Orbison's widow being pissed about not earning any royalties from it. I remember combing every record store from Calgary to Montreal looking for a copy. I didn't have a computer at the time, so I couldn't even download the thing. Lucky for me a buddy of mine found all the songs online and burned me a copy of the album as a Christmas gift (with the same track listing as the original of course.)

i'm lucky to own the actual cd..it doesn't seem fair it's not in print...wasn't a fan of their 2nd cd so much (volume 3...oh those funny boys)..it really missed having roy///

It is a great disc. I have it because my old man bought it way back in the day and played it quite a bit.
When you look at the band its just amazing to see so many talented guys in one group.
I didnt realize the Roy problem. I wonder why she is not getting any royalties. Is there any link to a story about that?

Agreed with everything except 'Tweeter.'
To me that's one of the few (maybe GnR's "Live and let die" being the other) where the cover is better than the original. The Headstones kicked the hell outta that song, to the point where I can't enjoy it anymore without the thumping Headstones bass drum.
But I love that album too, hard to go wrong with that bunch of guys.
