As webmaster, I find it really bad that the hip have music that starts up when you arrive at their site. It's a big no no for sites in my opinion and many webmasters would agree with me. Yes, they have the actual MUSIC on the site that you can choose to listen to if you like, that's awesome, but call me a snob but I hate it when I go to a site and music starts up. I've been online since 1997 and it's a big pet peeve of mine.

Didn't anyone tell you not to sweat the small stuff in life or it will send you to an early grave?!

I'm not sweating the music on the hip's site. I just find it annoying, there's a difference.

I don't see anything wrong with the poll...

Background music is a definite no-no from a design standpoint. It's a needless bandwidth hog, but I think more importantly alot of people are already listening to music while they are surfing the net. Two songs playing at the same time = bad and annoying.

The default music setting should be OFF, with a clear and obvious way for people to turn it ON if they wish.

Hey, I understand irony. I just know after I posted the whole "sweat the small stuff thing" I realized what was happening. I just was hoping all your smart people here on hip base would just ignore it but well, fat chance for that happening around here. :lol:
