I watch CG fairly regularly and really enjoy it. I was surprised as I have very low expectations of Canadian TV (well, sitcoms at least) and had never heard of Brent Butt before.

The show does need a laugh track. the only show that works without a live adience or laugh track is SCRUBS.

Curb Your Enthusiasm (Larry David, HBO) has no laugh track and is the funniest show on TV, IMO.

I'll be digging this thread up in about a month lol, that divix file would take me 35 hours to dl. I've done 14 for the show for TO when I still could dl overnight, but 35, ugh. I guess I'll have to wait till I see the show up in Plattsburgh on tape

I wouldn't worry about it. Yeah it is always cool to see the Hip but they were only on for about 10 seconds and Gord barely had any lines. I was disappointed....they could have been given bigger roles in the show.

Look at his posting history! DDD444 has connections and supposedly toured with them on the IBE tour here in the states, as far as I'm concerned, could possibly even be one of the guys.

I have to speak in favour for Corner Gas. I worked for that show during season 1. The majority of the show is filmed in Roleau SK, population... between 40 & 100, depending when the crew films. The rest of the show is filmed in a studio or at locations around Regina. Considering the low budget Corner Gas works on, i'd say it's quite remarkable. I can't blame everyone for not "getting" the humour, we can't all be Canadian. Give it some time it has it's moments. And yes, Brent looks just as stupid off camera as he does on camera. As for the Hip's appearence, very, very disappointed. The last thing i wanted to hear was some kind of cheesy remark from Brent, what got me even worse was the lack of an encore.
