i had a thought for this site and i thought i would share it.
we have the following sites: hipbase.com , hipfans.com , hipcovers.com , the lyrics site, and my Bootleg Database.
why not integrate all of the together?
i picture it like this. you wuold go to the setlist archive and pick a show. while looking at the setlist, you would also have the following options:
1. you could see which Hipbase members were at the show (lance just created this page for us.
2. you could get the lyrics to the songs (by clicking on the song name)
3. you could see if the show was taped (my site)
4. you could see if it was being torrented at hipfans.com (chris' site)
5. and you could download a cover that was created for that show
i know that the creators of each of those sites would obvisously like to have complete control over the content.... but this would make hipbase.com your one stop shop for all your Hip needs.
thoughts?

Makes a TON-OF-SENSE....
but... HUGE JOB.... and tough for each individual to stay involved... and "own" their content... etc...

I just had another idea for a great site.
What if we had a site dedicated to hip memorabila??
We could have digital images of things hip related and categorize them. Some categories would include:
Posters
Vinyl Records
Singles
T-Shirts & Hats
Pins/Tab Books/Mouse Pads/Wrist Bands/Fanny Packs/stickers
I have a whole whack of this stuff and was thinking of taking photos of it and making a site on my collection when I thought, why don't we complie a master site of hip things acquired at hip shows, ebay, record stores or wherever.
Ideas...

I think that it is a great idea, and one that perhaps will require a new main site that basically links to all of the others. I'll suggest that the main page at hipfans.com could be used as we haven't developed any real content, nor do we have any great technical prowess; but we do have the domain and the space/bandwidth.
As well, we are working on lists.hipfans.com which could house the bootleg lists of all hipfans ( http://lists.hipfans.com/chris for example) example). Another site is http://links.hipfans.com which is a link site for all things Hip.

Speaking of memoribilia... (great idea btw...)
Does anyone know where I can get a TTH hockey jersey? I know that they sell the IBE jerseys, but I was looking for something that at least resembles a Canadian jersey.
I have seen people wearing several very cool ones, but have never been able to find any.
Has anyone seen any for sale anywhere? It would be greatly appreciated!
Cheers,

Your best bet, at this point, would be ebay. MapleMusic no longer carries the maple leafesque variety.

Thanks!
I have tried ebay actually, but nothing so far. I'll keep at it and come across one someday... or maybe start making my own???!
Just kidding.
Cheers!

Here's what Jeffro and I discussed regarding Hip Memorabilia.
