thanks, i'll try to make it down this afternoon if i can. i think i'd rather hear them work through a soundcheck than meet them, but who knows. just seeing them in a club will be exciting enough :thumb:

How do you get to see them do soundchecks?? I didn't know venues let people in until the soundchecks were done! I've certainly never been allowed in early enough to see a soundcheck.

good point. i'm thinking it would be near impossible on a canadian tour. it looks like the hob here is a restaurant/club/store tourist complex (if you've been to myrtle beach you know what i mean), i was thinking i could just go down early and see what happens. they even have happy hour down there from 4-7 :rambo:

I've met them several times right before or after soundcheck. They're usually a bit rushed around 4pm, but after soundcheck they've always had plenty of time to stay and talk a while. Soundcheck is usually 4:30 to 5:00...but a couple times (depending on the venue start time), it's been a 4pm soundcheck as well.

You lucky S.O.B. I was just in Myrtle in April, I saw Blues Traveler at the HOB. I can almost taste it, being there. I can close my eyes right now and think I am there, on the patio listening to the hip's Sound check. I am sure Paul got in a round of Golf.

just got back to the hotel room from a round of golf. heading down to the hob around 4:30, my dad is excited about happy hour. going to see the hip with my dad, this is definitely a first! i'll have a cold one on the patio for you 8)
pictures will be taken, all i have is a disposable so hopefully 50% of them turn out alright
