One thing that bugs me...
#1

...is the lighting for these small venue shows. People complained about it during the Syracuse and NYC shows...and I'd like to sign up for that disgruntled list for the 9:30 Club show!

I think the lighting would be fabulous for a big arena...but for the small clubs, OUCH...it's super bright and very harsh on the eyes. I found at times it was tough to see the band, it was more like a silouette up there, rather than the band. And trying to see Gord sometimes was impossible, the brightness was that intense.

Anyone else find the same problem?? I realise I have super bad eyes, but it was a bit much...no??

Joshwayy, I saw your post right before the Syracuse show, and I watched the lights rather closely in Syracuse because of that.
And I actually liked the light show. I was second row on the floor and never had a problem seeing the band or being blinded.
Could have been my position. 2nd row right in between Paul and Gord.

I was about 4 rows deep dead center, and it drove me nuts!! Confusedhock:

In Cleveland, I was "second row" in front of Robby, and at times, I felt like I was looking at the sun! But the previous night in Detroit, I was in the balcony, front row centre, and the lighting looked awesome.

I guess, as with most things in life, it's all about perspective.

Yeah, I did find the lights quite blinding at Cleveland. I was way in the back and I agree, very difficult to see the band alot of the time.

I will remember to pack the sunglasses before hand. That's too bad. I really liked the Violet lighting during the IVL tour, even though it was rough on the video camera, it was easy on the eyes.
