I now have FOUR people on my Messenger list that I am waiting to send this to, but nobody has logged on in the past couple days. If you guys have logged on, check to see that you don't need to add me as well or somehow authorize me to view your online status.

I am working four night shifts in a row starting tomorrow for so the next five days I am most likely not going to be on Messenger at all. Get it while you can! Smile

ok. neil and i were just talking and here is what i think.

show is post-1996: gord's voice is deep and too mature for this to be an early '90's show

the song is 100th: what other song do they jam out like this now?

show is at a small venue: the quality of the recording leads me to this. you can get great AUD's in areas, but not like this one

venue is in the US, and not near a coast: i guessed this from the line "you guys don't know anything about the sea, do ya". then the crowd cheers

the source is audience: it is too "full" for a sbd. also, we can hear too much of the crowd for it to be a sbd

the rant is incomplete

edit: i just had a thought that it is from 1997 in Europe.

Adding stuff to the facts...
Not sure of the exact date yet but maybe this will help figure it out...

"You better call
You better..."

Lyrics from Reason Why I'm Shy by The Inbreds

He's actually talking about the Inbreds
He says "The Inbreds are in the car" at 1:02
And "just two guys in the band" at 1:20
There are only two guys in the Inbreds

The Inbreds have performed with The Hip a couple times so maybe it was during one of these events?

Looks like the Inbreds song was released on the Sydney Or The Bush album in 1996, so we know this rant is post-96 (thus eliminating the 1994 Europe tour, but I thought Gord's voice was more mature than the Gino gig anyway so we pretty well knew that already).

The pieces are slo-o-o-owly coming together...we now have just a six year period in which this could have happened in a small venue...that leaves only a few (thousand) possibilities...

I listed when I thought it might have occurred whilst The Inbreds were performing with The Hip... but not neccessarily so. It didn't have to be from a date when they were both on the same bill... If we can figure out the song it was in, then that would eliminate some possibilites... it sounded like The Luxury to me but you guys think it was 100th... I'm not sure either way...

Right on! That's good news and it wouldn't've been possible without this luxurious site!

And, for the record everyone, I sent it to him... Tongue
