So, I was thinking about how cool it was when Keelor from Blue Rodeo got up and played Are You Ready For The Country with the Sadies on Saturday nite. So, I figured I'd listen to some Blue Rodeo today and really try to get to know their music. The first song I put on was Hasn't Hit Me Yet. I have to say that this is one of the most emotional songs I've listened to in a long time.
I honestly got chills and goosebumps. It has been a long time since a song has done that for me.
I really just wanted to say what a great song it is...i'm sure you all know that, but go out and listen to it. It's truly amazing.

That was pretty cool when Greg sang Are You Ready For The Country. Hasn't Hit Me Yet is a great and emotional song. I find that there are quite a few Blue Rodeo songs that can stir up some emotions, and leave me with goosebumps from time-to-time. One of my favorites of their's, although it's not too emotional, is After The Rain. I loved seeing that with Colin Linden stepping in on slide guitar this weekend.

blue rodeo is an amazing act to see live...so much emotion, and they''re very funny guys..i saw them in vancouver at the Queen E. theatre, and for the last 2 tunes they asked for the house lights to be brought up so they could see the audience...at first people seemed pretty shy about it, but the band got everybody up and singing and dancing and swaying...very beautiful moment..i reccomend the album Nowhere To Here..sadly overlooked disc!

they are a really cool band. I play in a band with two brothers and their mother is completely in love with Blue Rodeo and has seen them a ton of times.
Also, I think I'll check out that album you mentioned. I was going to ask for reccomendations on where to start.

Just Like A Vacation.....the double live disc is phenomenal!
Keelor/Cuddy have to be the best singing duo in music. I still get goosebumps when they sing Bad Timing live. The harmonies are amazing.

I've listened to Blue Rodeo since I was in grade 3 or something. Definitely one of my favourites. Although I kinda stopped paying as much attention to them as I was after the whole "Jim Cuddy Band" split thing happened. I still don't know what happened there... Best song has got to be "Try"! Or "Rose-Coloured Glasses"..

Their "Best Of.." is a rare find in that it actually captures what most believe to be their best.
It's a good starting point, and it will lead/lure you into buying their other albums.
