Does anyone happen to have any insight on when all of the tour dates are going to be released? I check the websight everyday and alas everyday I am disappointed. Going to the Darian Lake show on Friday, can't wait to hear the new stuff live, but am waiting for the Boston dates!!

there have been many posts about this...and the answer is no...nobody has heard anything.

They mentioned at afew shows that they would 'see us in the fall' so im guessing the fall cratch:

I know of somebody who called up their booking agency trying to get an inside word...the basic response was..."You'll know when they are released"..."Click"

I take it that everything is still in the works. You can feel pretty good about the Hip hitting Boston...I mean Gord will be needing a new Bruins hat soon!!

I'm sure some US dates will be released soon, however the wait is killing me too. I'm planning on doing a US road trip to at least one HOB venue and am anxious to make some plans. It does seem strange that they would warm up the new tunes with the club dates and festivals and then shut it down for some time. They must waiting to confirm something...SNL would be cool.

These shows are probably just a warm up. I'm sure there will be a major fall tour.

I've said it before...but I have never seen such a disjointed album release/tour planning by the Hip. I KNOW there will be a Fall tour of Canada, and I KNOW its only a matter of time before they will be released. However, I don't buy the, "Be patient, I'm sure they are real busy right now" arguement.

They had 1.5 years to plan the release of the album and at least set up the first leg of the US tour. If they are waiting for something (like a child birth or the kids going back to school) why didn't they wait and release the album in August?

This great album dropped a month ago and the anticipation was insane. But now the buzz is starting to die down and we are back to posting, "What's your favorite Hip..." for the 99th time.

That damn web site hasn't been updated in 20 days, can you imagine releasing a great album such as this and then not updating your fans for 3 weeks? I remember in the old days we would at least get a, "Tour dates coming soon..." message. I only found this web site in April 04, so what are the average fans doing who hear a song on the radio and pick-up the CD and go to <!-- w --><a class="postlink" href="http://www.thehip.com">www.thehip.com</a><!-- w --> and see nothing as far as tour dates?

The only thing I can possibly think of is that they are waiting to see the US reaction to the album. Mabe they are debating if they should book clubs or theaters?

As crazy as it sounds I have this feeling that someone simply dropped the ball and waited to long before they started to schedule and there are simply not any logical dates open at venues for awhile. I checked all of the dates for venues that the Hip would likely play around the Boston area and they are all booked with other shows through Sept anyway.

I'm surpised there hasn't been a US tour annonced yet. Canadian tour dates usually don't get released until later in the summer/fall depending on if it's a fall or winter tour...but there's ALWAYS been a summer US tour after an album comes out.

I'm sure they will play HSBC Arena in Buffalo around Nov./Dec. they always seem to when an album is released.

They did not last tour.
When they did theatres - they played Darien on September 1st I think, and no return to Buffalo later.

I was hoping to try and take in some remote dates this year. I have been able to see the hip in some small venues such as Somerville MA two summers ago in a 900 seat Theatre 3 nights in a row, but I have friends that have seen them in clubs as small as 100 seats in the deep South. I think they usually play some dates in Atlanta and New Orleans, maybe even San Fran, or Denver.
