#31

i still cant believe that you can get through this album in 43 minutes...i just put it on and im on Beat before i can even think....

Makes for a fast show too....they have to start jammin and having inprovs in there new songs....i tell ya, incrasing the ticket price and a shorter show makes me not want to go anymore

Thanks for the laugh!

I could probably quote every single line as superpoetic on this album, much like the majority of Hip albums, but if I had to pick something on IBE I just loved to no end, it'd have to be the main riff for Gus, the first 15 seconds or so of the song. The loop on their site. I just love it! It just so grooves...

MELT: Gord's voice while he sings - REPRESENTATIVE HELL

Not sure if it's been posted yet...but the "We're a beautiful two" at the end of Heart of the Melt when it cuts out. Orgasmic.

YOU ARE EVERYWHERE

"When I reel my Irish in
when I sleep on the train
in straight lines through shadows...."

Love the sound of Gord's voice when he sings that part. I always feel like shouting out my car window as I sing along.

The intro to Gus. I really love the little guitar harmonic at 0:05 that comes in over the intro riff. Don't know why, because it isn't anything really special guitar-playing-wise, but it just sounds cool. The solo at the end of Gus is great as well.

Like someone else mentioned, the "WHOO" after it sounds like Gord was running out of breath doing the "praises" part of SKU makes me smile everytime I hear it.

The guitar riff in Heart of the Melt is another thing that stands out for me on IBE.

"when i reel my irish in..."

actually the back to back power of you're everywhere and makeshift pretty much does it for me.

when they played makeshift in between wheat and NOIS and it more than held its ground i knew IBE was destined to be a classic :thumb:

Amen. I love how Gordie's voice is so not perfect in that whole tune. It sounds like he's not worried about how he sounds, he's just belting out the lyrics like he would if he were singing live. That imperfection and passion always makes me picture him singing it live, which is why I love this tune.

Heaven... "Here's a glue guy... a performance god." Awkward / Powerful Confusedhock:

Gus... Guitar solo exit. Seems almost David Gilmore "ish" from Animals 8)

Copenhagen... "you mutter to yourself, you talentless f@#k, good fu#$%n luck.......goooood fu#$$@n luck!!!" Very dry self humor!!!

Not a bad moment on the whole album realy, those just stand out on the first run. I'll certainly find more since I haven't stopped playing the damn thing since it entered my house. :thumb:
