Whether it's a rumour or not, it's entirely possible that in between DFN and TATH Gord took vocal lessons. Or at any time for that matter. I was just trying to say above (although now I have the chance to reflect on it so don't jump on me if my opinion has changed slightly
) is that normally the deeper singers don't put much work into their singing. They do jam and practice with the rest of the band and the voice is just another instrument, anybody can train to be a better singer. But much like the self-taught guitar virtuosos, the deeper singers don't. They practice and, over time, get better. I just like the singers that don't take lessons more. There's something natural about just picking it up and belting it out. I don't listen to 80% of the singers out there who are supposedly "the best".
Anyway, where do you all think Gord sounds his best vocally?
I couldn't begin to answer this but maybe some of you can.... :thumb:
