The Weakest Link - Road Apples Champion - Three Pistols

I'd be surprised. As someone else remarked on here over the past few weeks, most times the single is the best song. On upcoming albums some songs not on Yer Favs that I could see having an outside chance would be "Pigeon Camera", "Springtime", "Emperor Penguin", "Lake Fever", and "The Dark Canuck". However, even as I look at those songs, none of them have a realistic chance of taking down the heavyweights.

Can't imagine it happening for Fully Completely, Day for Night or Phantom Power.

Springtime in Vienna might have a shot but it would be hard to see it upsetting both Gift Shop and Ahead by a Century.

I love Tiger the Lion and it's my favourite on M@W but would be shocked to see it come out on top.

I think In Violet LIght could prove interesting; always been partial to Throwing Off Glass and The Dark Canuck.

I could also see Heaven giving the others a run for the money on In Between Evolution.

MMAW is the only song from that album on Yer Favourites and I'm betting it won't win its poll.

I was thinking that MMAW would be a clear winner for Music @ Work. Other than Lake Fever (which, IMO, is not in the same league as MMAW), there isn't even a real dark horse there. There are a number of other good songs (and many not-so-good) that will result in a lot of vote splitting, but I don't see MMAW going down to defeat.

I'm curious... what song do you think will come out on top for that album?
Lake Fever has a lot of fans here, myself included. I even prefer The Completists to MAW...though the video is awesome.

Lake Fever is on Yer Favs... it's OK, I don't listen to that album either Big Grin I think MAW will be a two horse race the whole way. If anything other than MMAW or Lake Fever won, I'd be shocked. Fans have other favourites on there but there is nothing approaching consensus on any other track on what is really a divisive album.

This is a shocking upset!

(Meanwhile, "Lake Fever" isn't even that great a song - how it can defeat the title track of M@W is beyond me.)

And we have a champion - Little Bones has been defeated by Three Pistols!

I don't believe Emperor Penguin is on Yer Favourites.

Lake Fever on M@W was a total let-down after the acoustic version they played for NYE 99-00 at ACC. If the album track had been stripped down, I believe it would have eclipsed Wheat Kings and Fiddler's Green as the all-time campfire song.

I didn't vote in this poll, but The Last of the Unplucked Gems is the actual best song on this album, even if I will tip my cap to Three Pistols.

Missed the voting on this album (and the earlier ones), but glad to see Three Pistols won.

I have a soft spot for Luxury and was slightly disappointed it didn't make it further, but tough choices.
