Still hard to beat David Bowie and Bing Crosby

Gotta look on the other side of the picture too, what do you consider the WORST Christmas song ever written? Sadly, I have to go with Paul McCartney's "Wonderful Christmas Time". I find it so cringeworthy every time I hear it. It's still hard to wrap my head around the fact that the man who wrote "Maybe I'm Amazed", which in my opinion is the best love song ever written, is also responsible for this atrocity......

Oh god, YES! That is hands down the worst Christmas song in history. Every time I hear it, I feel an incredible urge to find McCartney and punch him in the face.

As for good songs, I've always loved U2's version of Baby Please Come Home.

And of course you can't go wrong with Christmas in Hollis by Run-DMC:

When I saw this thread this is the first song that popped in my mind.
Great song from a great Christmas movie.

I have a tendancy to play Good King Wencelas and 2,000 Miles year-round!

I picked up Christmas is for Girls and Boys with all Kingston artists two years ago. It's not bad.

McCartney may have one of the worst Christmas songs, but Lennon has one of the best. I never tire of hearing Happy Xmas.

For me, when it comes to Christmas songs, the old crooners are where it's at. Sinatra, Dean Martin, Bing Crosby, Burl Ives, Johnny Mathis, and others. Love the classics.

The Odds have a few good ones too - I like to include "We Three Kings" on any Christmas playlist.

Just listened to the Blue Rodeo Christmas album, and was very pleasantly surprised at their cover of Paul Simon's Getting Ready For Christmas Day (not sure if it beats the original though...).

This is what my kids are making today... look at the writing at the top of the lid. He's starting the business empire with Christmas cookies, but I predict it won't be long before there is a Bobby Baker BBQ sauce, Tequila, and restaurant chain. Look out Jimmy Buffett!
