I think I just had a small orgasm. I can't wait to hear what Mr. Waits has in store for us. New album and a tour to follow?? Please god, let it be true.

New album "Bad As Me", out Oct. 25th. His first studio album of all new material in 7 years. This was posted on his website today. Classic!

Picked up the new record today at HMV. I'm only on my 3rd spin so far and it's already become my favorite album of the year. Best thing he's done since Mule Variations in my opinion. Brilliant from start to finish.

Had to hop on here to see what you think DW74, cause I knew you would already have BAM and had spun it a few.

I had a guess as to what you might say, and sure enough, almost verbatim. And of course, I couldn't agree more. I've managed to make it thru twice with a couple replays of some of the ones I liked best. Mule Variations-type quality indeed, though not sure anything will ever touch that one for me. Real Gone was pretty close. This could wind up just as close.

Satisfied (Keith Richards!), Talking At The Same Time, Chicago, Right Raised Man, Back In the Crowd, Last Leaf...sweeeeet.

Did you get he deluxe edition? Extra disc with 3 bonus cuts...if you didn't, damn...you need it, because all three are worth the extra $$$, especially Tell Me and After You Die.

Chicago, Talking at the Same Time, Last Leaf, and the title track are my early favorites so far. Also, Hell Broke Luce is hands down one of the most badass songs ever recorded.

Picked up this bad ass on Friday ... fantastic! Listening to it made me dig some of his older stuff out of the vault and its pretty much been a Tom Waits fest around here this week end.
