I thought the sound was really good, everything was really clear to me, except the keys, which wasn't a big deal imo. And the crowds in Ottawa always suck; I've seen so many shows here and the stories I could tell about how people having no idea how to act at a concert....

A couple things regarding the sound:

(1) soundboard is underneath the mezz. and the sound is very different under there then in the open. It sounds almost hollow sounding. So probably it takes a couple songs for the sound to be straightened out. I'm sure the sound will be better tonight and Monday.

(2) The Hip have a new sound guy (the last one - Marc LeCorre retired at the end of August). The new sound guy's name is John.

some great extended jams/grooves, when gord hit up the audience for his walks on the back of the seats

sound incredible upfront on the floor

some hardcore fans about and overall a good hipfan experience

loved the opener and really missed hearing last recluse, though frozen moved a notch up the scale in my books, which was cool

loved in view and puttin down, of course thugs and escape

solid show. band on fire. gord totally on fire.

Yes, I liked Frozen more then I do on the album. Funny when he was training us to do the "Woooo" part and everyone did it before he even gave the signal.... "uh, folks, I haven't pointed my paint brush at you yet!"
