I have been looking into ways to stream my ipod wirelessly for awhile.
I came across this product but it is a little outta my price range.
I want to sit on my back deck and have the ipod in my hand and be able to stream the music from it.
Anyone run across any other devices that I could look into?

You can stream iTunes from your computer and use an iPod touch as a remote - all you need is an Airport Express with Airtunes.
But from the iPod directly to your stereo.... I dunno.
What about getting an FM transmitter - like you'd use in a car?

ThanxChris - I was unaware that Airport Express worked with PC - I'll have to check it out - looks promising so far.
I have the dock that you are talking about, but I do not get enough functionality with it - I want the ipod in my hands and it looks like AE might be the way to go.

Well, I finally got around to downloading the remote app for my ipod - and it is freakin great.
Now I am looking to grab an airport express.
Anyone have one lying around they would like to sell me?
I have been looking at them and I guess I'll just pick up the older wireless G model.
Do they all come with airtunes? Because some of the used G models I see range in price from $40 to $90 and I am not sure if that is just gready sellers or if there are differences, because I cannot find a difference.

My Airport Express came today and after 3.5 hours of trying to set it up - It now freakin' rocks!
Exactly what I have been looking for.
I now have access to and listening ability to my entire iTunes library all over my backyard.

I still don't own a Mac.
For the life of me I could not get my network to see it.
I finally hard wired it in and it, for some reason, still would not see my network. The easy solution ended up for me to physically type in the actual name of my network and then it was magically on it.
I can pick up about 12 networks from my house and it did not see one of them.
And as a side note, my buddy for the past couple of months has been threatening to give me a cool little, I think, USB drive that has a mac operating system on it. To teach himself to work in Mac enviroments he plugs in the usb and chooses to load from there and his PC becomes a Mac. He claims almost full functionality. So I may start learning.
