I am scared:
Larry Berrio is the first country artist to remake a song by Canadian icon Tragically Hip, on the CD called Boots or Hearts).
Also the first single, "Boots or Hearts" from "RPM" will be release to radio on September 12th!

It can't possibly be any worse than Damhnait Doyle's cover of Bobcaygeon.

Boots or Hearts is a good choice for a country cover. That album had a real southern/country thing going on, so it's not much of a stretch.

I think I would be more than happy to send him into the forest to look for Oasis, probably with an open packet of honey glazed cured ham in his pack.... bears do actually like that stuff don't they? I'm urban, I wouldn't know
Still picking up the elderly from the floor, still dealing with the drunks, now wrestling seals and posting it on twitter.. @richardilderton

"This is brutally, terribly, horrendously godawful"
how is this god-awful? he sings in tune, tempo is steady, production value is good...its a boring cover, no interpretation, pretty much mediocre, but it isnt "horrendously god-awful" by any means...is it god-awful because it isnt the hip? it sounds like a country singer singing a country song...the rest of his stuff sounds ok...

I don't really like it but I agree... How is this horrible? The arrangement is a little off but it's a pretty straightforward cover. The guy can sing and his band can play.

I'd really like to see a blues singer or DBT cover Boots, Berrio's version isnt bad, it just sounds arranged to a Nashville mainstream country sound, which doesn't really push the envelope.

I can't figure why Canadian country singers feel the need to affect Nashville accents.
I mean, I play bluegrass, go out and jam weekly ... and half the people I play with do it, too. Can't ya just sing like yerself?

I actually enjoyed this. It was a cover of a song with a newish twist to it.
I'm not much of a fan of country (i enjoy it enough but it's not my favorite genre) and I can say that I actually really enjoyed it.
