Live in London show 1997-2000?
#1

Hi All:

I remember a live show The Hip put on the web somewhere in the 1997-2000 time frame, I think was called "Live in London" and it opened with Grace, too (that probably narrows it down). It was an active link for perhaps a year. I listened to it quite a few times and it was amazing. I had it bookmarked on an old computer, but that's long gone now...

Does this ring a bell for anyone? Is it a concert that ended up being recorded for download anywhere? I'd like to listen to it again.

Thanks for the info.

I thought I had this webcast somewhere, but I cannot find it:

Live at Sheperd's Bush Empire London, England June 8, 2000

And as The Hip said at the time:
"This is definitely the best webcast we've ever had filmed."

Thanks for the info. I showed it to a number of folks in our area to show them how cool The Hip are live; would love to be able to see it again. I think Sharks is also in the set, which I remember seeing them play in Portland, OR.

Ron, I pm'd you just now.

I hope they make it down to the US sometime this year...the last time I saw them was for IVL in Las Vegas.

I've got it in mp3. Opens with Something On. Great show. I think I grabbed it from http://thehundredthmeridian.com/ftp.html a long time ago, but it's long gone now. Are you interested in the mp3s?

Zenith, it's just going to make you mad you weren't there, but here it is. And Mike, I think this is probably the show you're thinking of. Lots of classic Gordie in here. I drove around with it on tape in my car for years. Enjoy!

I dare say you're right there (although, I don't even think I knew who The Hip were in 2000... )

Anyway, thanks very much for the upload, sullivand. :thumb:

Yes, thanks so much for posting up the .mp3s...I've been listening to it a bunch this past week...what a show, what a night, what a crowd! :-)

For some reason I thought Sharks was part of the set, love that song.

Is this the one with the 'fosbury flop' line?

I remember that from one of the London shows...
