One of my favourite shows of all time. If you've never seen it, go out and rent/buy the DVD's. Definitely a laugh, and I'm stoked that a movie is being made.

I know this show is out on DVD and it is Fantastic, I can't for the life of me figure out why network TV wouldn't try and air these during this writers strike and see if they can find an audience. AD and Firefly should get another shot. IF you haven't seen Firefly do your self a favour and rent it.

HD Net is showing them at 12:30 PM everyday, and commercial free. I don't know who can get the channel, but it is on the HD tier of my time warner cable.

While there are only three seasons, I testify that it was the best television series of all time. The character development, the tongue-in-cheek, the insistent need to always pay attention for reference. Let's hope the movie is produced, and we can all shower in the hope of another couple of seasons before George Michael develops a cocaine addiction, Maebe has a few kids, and GOB ends up on the black-ball list for participating in such terrible movies.

Agreed. GOB's flambuoyancy, Buster's nervous character (played to a tee), and of course Michael's subtle humour. One of the more overlooked aspects of the series would have to be Ron Howard's narration of the show, which is awesome.

Jason Bateman: Arrested Development Movie Coming

Finally, an Arrested Development movie is in the offing.

"It's in the works," costar Jason Bateman told MSNBC's Keith Olbermann last night. "The grown-ups are trying to work out the numbers."

He also told the Times of London the movie version — slated for a 2009 release — will have a different feel than the TV series: "When it was on TV, if you missed one word the whole third act could be blown for you. And TV is a different experience. You come home and you've got to finish a call so you miss the first ten minutes or you get snacky and you go to the fridge and you miss another two minutes, so it's a different experience to film." — J.R. Whalen

"We're forced to bed, but we're free to dream"

It definitely wasn't as funny as Seinfeld but it was, indeed, a pretty funny show. IMHO, David Cross was the star of the show. A movie? Sounds good to me. :thumb:

I gotta put it up their with Seinfeld and the Simpsons as show that I can watch over and over again, not many other can do that to me

I loved that show...I'm not sure I would call David Cross the star. The Tobias character became more and more unbearable for me as the show went on. It probably wasn't helped by the fact that I don't find David Cross funny at all (though Tobias made me laugh many times). A movie will be fantastic.
