I had no idea what you were talking about - so I looked up your weather - And holy crap!!! -37 degrees Celsius!!!
It is 48 degrees (9 Celsius) here in Buffalo today so I assumed you were having a warm streak also.

I've been stuck in airports for 2 days straight. Yesterday it was Toronto, where I had 4 potential flights cancelled and now it's Montreal where 2 have been cancelled on me, and I'm not holding my breath for the 9:00 pm I'm scheduled to catch out to Fredericton.

Thank god the booze is free in the Maple Leaf lounge.

It is so cold here, it's ridiculous.
It got down to -46 with the windchill, and I was told that tomorow it could get as cold as -55 with the windchill....and the school's are all still open! What the hell!?
Remember when -30 was a snow day?
My mom is a grade 1 teacher, and out of a class of 25 students, today only 6 showed up, all driven by taxis. crazy.

the dark orange between Great Slave Lake and Great Bear Lake represents temps around -50C, WITHOUT windchill.

I will not give up. My face is set,my gait is fast,my goal is heaven,my road is narrow,my way is rough,my companions are few,my guide is reliable,my mission is clear. I cannot be bought, compromised, detoured, lured away, turned back, diluted or delayed. I will not flinch in the face of sacrifice, hesitate in the presence of adversity, negotiate at the table of the enemy, ponder at the pool of popularity,or meander in the maze of mediocrity. I will not give up,shut up or slow down....Blessed Be!

My apartment had no heat for like 8 hours today. It got down to about 10 in here. Just the other day I was wondering how people survived in the days before central heating, and now I know: coldly.

All primary and secondary roads in Grey and Bruce counties have been closed by the OPP due to Nil viability and a lot of ice. Plows have been called off the roads. I feel like the apocalypse is here. Call in the military!

Winter can disappear any day now. Give me the beach and a 'rita (on the rocks, not frozen).

Cheers,

Pat

Its about 10 degrees in Halifax, absolutely pissing rain, and windy as heck.
Power has been flickering here for a while.

Apparently the electricity has been fairly inconsistent on Prince Edward Island tonight as well.
