What would you like to see more of in the next album/tour?
#61

Davis Manning doing a tour with them, I think that would be very cool to see.For me that would be total full circle for them.

I will not give up. My face is set,my gait is fast,my goal is heaven,my road is narrow,my way is rough,my companions are few,my guide is reliable,my mission is clear. I cannot be bought, compromised, detoured, lured away, turned back, diluted or delayed. I will not flinch in the face of sacrifice, hesitate in the presence of adversity, negotiate at the table of the enemy, ponder at the pool of popularity,or meander in the maze of mediocrity. I will not give up,shut up or slow down....Blessed Be!

I've seen Harper and I would say he blows the Hip off the stage, but in a very different way, I can see lots of Hip fans not enjoying a Ben Harper show which is cool, it has a vibe that Hip fans may find a bit too laid back for their liking.
Don't get me wrong. I absolutely LOVE Ben Harper, especially live. I just thought the Hip put on a better show that day, that's all. I've been to many concerts over the years, and in my opinion the Hip can easily hold their own against any band out there.

Well, I was actually kidding about Davis Manning, in response to the suggestion of going back to the 1985 stage setup.

But if you listen to the Copper Penny boot, Davis Manning was the best thing the band had back then. It actually would be cool to hear him play with them now.

If they are to do smaller venues, then come to St. John's, NL and play at the Delta Ballroom, or even smaller at the Majestic Theatre.

I drove down for that show as well, but don't remember the Hip being better than Ben Harper, or QOTSA for that matter...they played a really abbreviated set because of the weather, and although they played the best of their upcoming songs (Rink and Drop Off) plus Fly, they played songs that no one had heard before at a festival, which made it harder to g...and man, Harper KILLED that night!

Yup, more Paul on the next album.

There's no studio version of Fighter Fighter available is there?

And I second the motion for more Paul. Love his vocal work on Music@Work.
