[The Heron Outside]

Y'know what makes this even more awesome? Now that they're done with Epic, they've got no contractual obligations...So you know this box set comes out of the goodness of their heart...Why does this band love their fans so much?

Why does this band love their fans so much?

Because they are one of the few bands in the world that haven't forgotten all the love and support they have received from their fans over the years. That alone makes them one of the greatest bands on this Earth....

I really wish the Hip would do something like this. Hipeponymous was cool, but I only bought it for the Night in Toronto DVD and the bonus disc. The Hip will always be my favorite band, and god love 'em for being the great guys that they are and allowing fans to tape their shows, but with the mountains of unreleased material they have locked up in their vault, they really need to release a proper rarities/live box set one of these days, complete with extensive liner notes. It just makes sense.

Only 2 more sleeps!

Just picked up Live @ The Gorge this morning for $39.99 at Future Shop. At roughly $5.70 per disc, that's an absolute bargain. Don't bother going to HMV. They were selling it for $47.

As for the music, this thing is a fuckin' monster. 7 discs, 100 songs, pristinely recorded & mixed. What more can you ask for? I love this band!

This is probably the best live preformace purchase I've made (maybe even better than The Hip, and that's being extremely bias towards them). The audio is awesome, set lits are awesome, Pearl Jam is awesome. Buy this now! Helllooooo TOM! COME DOWWWNNN TOM!

Ya gotta love their cover of "I Won't Back Down".
