Match-up #28 - Blow At High Dough Vs. Little Bones
I ask you to listen to the two songs in the match-up Back to Back, and consider the lyrics of the song. Feel free to post an unbiased analysis of both songs in this thread, but please refrain from cheerleading or making predictions for your favourites.
You still have a few hours to vote for match up #27. This one starts a little early. I have family gatherings tonight...

I am gonna go out there and say it...I don't like Little Bones. It's overplayed, and I'm annoyed with it. I hate when they end shows with it, because it's for all those casual radio listening, beer drinking fans. I don't consider it to be one of their best.
Now, Blow at High Dough...there's a song! From the opening to the end, it has amazing lyrics, guitar work, and an awesome feeling.
chalk one up for Blow at High Dough.

I agree with you, for the most part. I'm sure those "casual fans" probably complain when the band ends a show with Fire In The Hole, or something, so I guess it's all relative. But yeah, close a show with Blow, and everyone leaves with a smile on their face. Great tune, all around. And I think the song's become that much better now that they're really jamming the end out. Righteous.

I disagree. I think the casual fans would be rather disappointed with this forum and the snooty, self-important air that pervades it.

I cued up both of these songs and listend to them while walking my dog yesterday, and I must say, the studio version of Blow is fantastic. I forgot how great it is because I am used to hearing the live version, which I persobnally feel is bland and overdone.

Bones is great both live and studio.
