You might see some stars, if you're lucky. You're right about the city factor, and I doubt Toronto is far enough north to get much aurora anyway.

The answer with the Northern Lights is slim to none; I lived in southern Alaska for a year and we could barely see the Northern Lights. Best place to see them, in my opinion, is Fairbanks, Alaska. You might get to see some weak glimmers if you go out into the countryside and happen to have the right kind of weather conditions.

Sutton Place is well situated to explore downtown Toronto.

Northern Lights from Toronto: Not a chance - Too much light pollution, not nearly far enough north (Toronto is south of London by a fair distance), and they are usually only seen in September/October and again in March/April.

Besides, you'll have plenty of other things to see and do while you're here.

It's all booked now, we land in Toronto (or thereabouts) at 7pm on the 11th November and leave again on the 18th at 9pm.

Not too long now, starting to plan this trip in essence, I'd really like to meet up with a group from here if at all possible. I'll certainly be trying to sort a night on the tiles with Chris and Trevor...
